BBQ At Wembury
Last Friday evening, it was the Beavers beach clean and BBQ so we all went and did a BBQ for ourselves. Ben didn’t eat much of it as he was too keen to go out into the sea with his new boogie board with Annie and her older brother and his friend. This was the first time that Ben was allowed to go out into the sea properly without an adult close by. He was well behaved and looked like a proper surfer dude when he walked down to the sea with Annie. I did go down to check on them all a little later on as they were starting to drift towards the rock pools and were going out a little too far for my liking. There were no waves though and no currents at all really, so it would have been fine. Not long after I went down to the shoreline, they all came in anyway as the two older boys were throwing seaweed at Ben and Annie, which was scaring them! haha. They were also telling them that there were jelly fish all around them. haha
Other than doing some boogie boarding, Ben had fun in the rock pools (with Annie again) and had a bit more of a scoff of the Beaver food that was left over. He had a very fun evening and enjoyed it.
