Year 6 Teacher

Last week, Ben found out that he is going to have Miss Ingram as his teacher in Year 6. He, and we, were very pleased with this as she is very nice and has got a good reputation for teaching in the school and amongst the parents. Ben knows her already from Netball and Rounders clubs, which is a great start. Hopefully, she will be great for them next school year!

Rounders Club

For the past term, Ben has been taking part in Miss Ingram’s Rounders club after school on a Monday. This took over from Netball for the summer term and he has been enjoying it!

School Awards Assembly

This morning, Ben was awarded his Stage 6 swimming certificate, a reading certificate and a Values award for being caring to other pupils at the school. The headmaster, Mr Hancock, gave him his certificates and said that we would need to get a new fridge, what with all the certificates he was getting! haha

Swimming Stage 6 Completed

Ben has now completed his stage 6 in swimming at Meadowlands! It has taken him much longer to complete this stage than the others as he was having issues with his left foot not kicking properly when doing breast stroke! haha! Eventually, they passed him though so he has now moved up to Stage 7. Unfortunately though, there is no space in stage 7 at the moment, so we are on a waiting list and he has to carry on going to stage 6 for the time being. Hopefully it won’t be long till he can move up as that is the final swimming stage that we want him to do, as he doesn’t want to carry on and do lifesaving lessons. I am hoping he will change his mind though! 😉

Plymouth Kolts vs Keyham Colts – Friendly

Ben’s first game for Plymouth Kolts went really well and he scored a last minute equalising goal in a 4-4 draw. He also had another goal disallowed for offside when I don’t think it was. Shame! The match was split into 4 quarters of 15 minutes and Ben played for them all apart from the 2nd 15 minutes. He was put in central midfield and did a great job, especially towards the end of the game when he scored! He seemed to really enjoy it but was puffed out afterwards as he had swimming before the game as well! 😉 He is now looking forward to the next match or tournament.
