Ben has now got his yellow belt in Karate after only about 9 sessions! 😉
He had to go to a grading session on a Sunday morning and be put through the moves by another Sensei. He had a 45 minute refresher session before the actual grading, and then straight into that for another 45 minutes or so. Kelly took him as I stayed home and looked after Coby and Aaron, but she said that he did really well!
Well done Ben! Now on to the orange belt………..
Yellow Belt Ben
Ben is doing really well at Karate and now has his yellow tag. He got this after his 6th lesson (along with a certificate), and he has now been booked in on the 26th April for grading for his Yellow Belt. His Sensei says he should pass this easily. 😉

On Tuesday, it was Ben’s parents evening, so Kelly and I went in to speak to his teacher, Miss Bowyer.
Suffice to say, she was extremely happy with Ben and told us he is actually in the progress of hitting Year 2 targets already, and he is only in Year 1! She said that he is a lovely boy, who enjoys helping her and the other students out. He is very polite and gets on with his work well (mostly! 😉 ). So nothing to worry about at all!

Ben had his second Karate lesson this week and he really enjoyed it – and there were no tears this time either! 😉 He did very well and was spa’ing (?) with his friend Austin and accidently hit him in the face! They were both laughing apparently, thank goodness. He did so well that he got another certificate! This time for good effort, so we are very pleased with how it is going. 😉
