Hi all,

Just a note to say that the baby didn’t arrive on the due date of the 22nd September, which is a shame.  There haven’t really been pains or anything, so it must be very comfortable where it is!

So we went to the next scheduled mid-wife appointment yesterday.  Had to wait for nearly an hour as she was running very late (nightmare as the chairs there are so uncomfortable!), but we saw her in the end.  She did the usual check and everything was fine with Kelly and the baby, and she predicated it will be out within a few days.  Even so, she booked us in the hospital for an induction on the 4th October at 15:45pm, just in case the baby doesn’t make an appearance.  At least I will be able to listen to the football on the radio whilst waiting for the induction effects to take their course!! 😉

We have also got another appointment next week, but to see the GP this time, as Jane, our mid-wife, is on holiday.

We are both hoping the baby will come very soon, as we can’t sleep in anticipation! (I am a Zombie at the moment!).

I saw the midwife again today for my 39 week check up.  Unfortunately she was snowed under and was running over an hour late!  When i did eventually see her everything was fine and normal, the baby is lying in the best position for labour, anterior, and the head is still engaged 2/5.  The heartbeat was strong as usual and was measured at 142 beats per minute.  My blood pressure has been fine throughout and nothing strange or unusual to report.  We are just eagerly awaiting for the baby to make an appearance now, hopefully it will be any day.  I see the midwife again in one week, which would mean i would be overdue by one day so i am hoping that i won’t need the appointment and the midwife is hoping she will see us “all” next week!

Generally i feel fine, if not a little tired as sleeping is always a challenge at the moment between the baby’s movements and trying to get comfortable!

Not to much to write here, apart from everything is still ok and the baby is still in perfect position for birth.  That’s about it really! 😉  3 weeks to go!

Last week Kelly had her 35 week check with the mid-wife, and everything was fine as usual.  The baby is still 2/5 engaged, so hasn’t moved any lower since the last checkup.  From now on, the checks will be done every two weeks, unless something changes, in which case, it will be weekly at the most.  Not very long to go now!!

Thought it may be a bit of fun for everyone to try and guess whether the baby will be a boy or a girl, how heavy it will be and what the due date will be.  We currently don’t know if it will be a boy or girl, obviously don’t know the weight but the due date is meant to be the 22nd September.
