Mid-Pregnancy Scan

Mid-Pregnancy Scan 3Mid-Pregnancy Scan 2Mid-Pregnancy Scan 1

Today (19 weeks exactly) we went for our mid-pregnancy scan. It was really amazing to see the baby again especially as we could see so much more this time! We could literally see head to toe, from the skull all the way done it’s tiny spine down to ever moving feet. We could even see the baby’s kidneys and the 4 chambers of the little heart pumping away!

Everything seemed so perfect, measurements and size reading accurate to dates!

Even though we were asked if we wanted to know, we decided not to find out the sex and keep it as a surprise!

Bump's Heartbeat

Recently we purchased a heartbeat monitor that can find the baby’s heartbeat and play it out loud. The heartbeat is really strong so if you want to hear it, you can listen to or download the file by clicking here.

Appointment with the mid-wife on 25th March

We had our latest appointment with the mid-wife last Tuesday afternoon, and she reported that everything was fine.  She even used some equipment to listen to the baby’s heartbeat, which was very strong and very loud.  Just need to get around to recording it and putting up on this babyblog.

Dating Scans

A little under 2 weeks ago, we had the dating scans done on the baby, and we are pleased to report that all seemed to be fine (not an alien parasite!). The nurse gave us a due date of 22nd September, so there is about 6 months to go. Here are the images of the scans that were taken, about 12 weeks into the pregnancy –

Welcome to our Baby Blog!

Hi to everyone reading this. We thought it would be a good idea to keep a blog of how our first child is getting on (even though he/she hasn’t been born yet!). We will be adding images and other bits here, to keep everyone up to date with how things are going.

So please come back again soon…….we should have images of the babies first scan up here over the weekend.

Adios for now!!
